Customer Review: 27″ Philips TV
I have heard a lot of negative things about a similar model, the 27PT9015D/37B specifically, and the reliability of the television and the power simply cutting off after a short period of time. I have had my TV for a total of 8 months and had no problem so far. This SDTV has a beautiful picture on the digital tuner, and a pretty good picture on the normal tuner as well. My favorite part of the tv is the digital sound output that can be used for the digital tuner. the sound quality is incredible when used with a high quality reciever, i can get surround sound on most programming. The speakers on the side of the tv are so-so but i would recommend sending the sound out to a nice surround system, the bass started getting distorted on mine. There are three component inputs on the unit and one composite input. This SDTV can easily be confused for HDTV when using the digital tuner- the video quality is as good as DVD. In fact i think the quality is better on the digital tuner than it is coming from the inputs. I love this TV, if you can find a new one i highly recommend it. I bought the display model at walmart for 200 dollars. Buy Now
