Customer Review: Wow, what a nice TV for my Florida room.
I bought this TV to demonstrate Karaokes that I have from the Philippines. I did not intend to use it for watching TV alone. But when I first turned it on, setup was automatic, and the quality of the picture was beyond reproach. Now I use it exclusively for watching TV over a much larger TV in an air-conditioned room. That is how truly good this TV is. At one time, I thought Magnavox TVs were of poor quality, but so far this TV is just as good as a Panasonic or Sony.

This TV is great for the price.
It is very heavy, almost impossible for one person to lift.
The remote is a bit limited on features. Other remotes have a favorites button with a bunch of choices for favorite channels that you always watch. The remote buttons need to be larger. Buy Now

Customer Review: Price cheap for reason – beware!
I bought this because it was a good price for something we wanted to get for our TV. When we put it up on the wall and put our TV on it (20″), the mount appeared to not be very stable. We didn’t want the TV falling and crashing so we took the mount down and put it in a different room with a smaller TV. It now has a 13″ TV on it, and works fine. This wall mount definitely will NOT hold the weight it is intended for, however.

This appears to be a good design, but the manufacturing went wrong; the bolts that hold it together should have been 7mm and they are only 6mm, and this allowed the platform to sag badly! Buy Now

A good TV overall, but a VERY annoying “feature” is the large, on-screen information display that obscures the screen every time the channel is changed. This display cannot be disabled and is very annoying when channel surfing.

I like this flat screen TV very much. I am very disappointed that this size TV has been discontinued. I needed a 15″ square shaped TV because of limitations on dimensions where I was installing the TV. I am sure many other consumers may have the same issues. All new 15″ TV’s are actually a minimum of 18″ wide which was not a dimension my space could handle. I actually had to purchase a refurbished TV so I am concerned that its lifespan maybe short. I know manufacturers are basing their dimensions on wide screen formatting. Too bad for those of us who have a hole to fill that is not suited for widescreen. Buy Now

Customer Review: 27″ Philips TV
I have heard a lot of negative things about a similar model, the 27PT9015D/37B specifically, and the reliability of the television and the power simply cutting off after a short period of time. I have had my TV for a total of 8 months and had no problem so far. This SDTV has a beautiful picture on the digital tuner, and a pretty good picture on the normal tuner as well. My favorite part of the tv is the digital sound output that can be used for the digital tuner. the sound quality is incredible when used with a high quality reciever, i can get surround sound on most programming. The speakers on the side of the tv are so-so but i would recommend sending the sound out to a nice surround system, the bass started getting distorted on mine. There are three component inputs on the unit and one composite input. This SDTV can easily be confused for HDTV when using the digital tuner- the video quality is as good as DVD. In fact i think the quality is better on the digital tuner than it is coming from the inputs. I love this TV, if you can find a new one i highly recommend it. I bought the display model at walmart for 200 dollars. Buy Now
